Leasing Agent – American Homes 4 Rent (Tampa)

The Leasing Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and future tenants.

• Fields and responds to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants
• Works to persuasively present information to prospects on housing properties to create applications
• Negotiates lease offers
• Executes and explains leases and related documents to future tenants
• Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy
• Works with underwriting and leasing writing teams to channel applicants through the leasing process
• Maintains up to date knowledge of company policies and procedures

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Intermediate PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
• State Real Estate License
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills
• Strong relationship management, organizing and customer service skills
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Must be able to implement process improvement changes
• Valid driver’s license required
