We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Leasing Agent to join our team and growing company. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be detailed-oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
Apartment Leasing Agent Job Responsibilities include:
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Apartment Leasing Agent must be familiar with apartment / multi-family leasing and Fair Housing.
- Apartment software experience is a bonus
- Property lease-up or rehab experience is a bonus
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
- Understand the Apartment Association lease and contracted credit report application.
- Accept rental payments and post rents to the computer.
- Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Record monies collected and prepare bank deposit slips on an on-going basis.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes as well as prepare statement of accounting notices for past residents.
- Apartment Leasing Agent will provide accounting support to Property Manager.
- Assist in lease transactions by typing leases, gathering applicant’s history and credit approvals.
- Assume Community Manager’s duties/authority in absence of immediate supervisor in accordance with company and community guidelines.
- Provide general clerical assistance to community office
This is a full-time position, Saturdays are REQUIRED.
