Job Summary

SPM, LLC, one of the leading apartment management companies in the U.S., is currently seeking a Leasing Agent at District at Clearwater – Clearwater, FL.

Education and Experience:

A leasing agent should have a high school or equivalent diploma to qualify. Earning a college degree is also favorable. It is preferred that a leasing agent must have at least one year of experience in sales. It is also better to have a customer service background. It is necessary for leasing agents to know basic arithmetic skills. A leasing agent must have excellent communication and organizational skills. He/she must also be computer literate.

Specific Job Requirements:

Provide information about the community to the prospects and scheduling visits to the property. They are responsible for leasing the property and keeping track of all the leasing paperwork including the application papers, leasing agreements, employment and credit checks, and lease move-in packets. They also have to complete the service requests and correspond with the maintenance department.

  • Accomplished interpersonal skills; capable of dealing effectively with employees, residents, vendors and co-workers.
  • Prior Conventional Housing leasing experience or sales/marketing background a plus
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Follow OSHA safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of Yardi 7S is a plus.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, including strong customer service skills and leadership skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be punctual, self-motivated, and have the ability to resolve conflicting issues.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proper automobile liability insurance and dependable transportation that is in good operating condition.
  • Drug test and background check required.
