South Florida based Management Company is looking for a seasoned LIHTC Leasing agent and Assistant Manager for a multi bond community in Tampa, FL. Ideal candidate will have experience with LIHTC, ELI, MOU, Multiple level certification and be a superstar. Applicant must have Yardi and tax credit experience
The candidate must have the ability to strictly enforce community rules, regulations, maintain renewal / leasing workflow and ensure that all residents will abide by all policies and procedures. Strong collection abilities and customer service is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leasing Agent:
-Must be able to pass a Criminal and Credit background check per company policy.
-Assist with Directing maintenance staff, marketing and leasing.
-Assist with maintaining annual budget
-Maintain high retention and occupancy levels.
-Process new applications, re-certifications and provide required information to compliance. Ensure that resident programs are being completed as directed.
-Maintain compliance policies and procedures.
-Assist with rent collection, rent ledgers, bank deposits.
-Pursue delinquent rents and evictions and provide required information to Collection Company.
-Provide account information to the Regional Manager.
-Direct all marketing and leasing activities and maintain targeted occupancy.
-Assist with resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations.
-Candidate must be highly motivated and task orientated.
-All other duties as assigned based on property needs.
This position is high energy and extremely demanding. Units are all recertified each year and there will be ample opportunity to grow within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
LIHTC (Section 42) Experience Required.
-Associates degree preferred or, HS diploma and similar work experience accepted.
-2-3+ years of experience in property management (Leasing) position.
-Language Skills – Ability to read, write, speak and interpret rules, procedures, routine reports/correspondence and to speak effectively with groups of employees and/or residents. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a necessity.
-Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compare rate, ratio and percentages and interpret basic graphs.
-Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve concrete variables in standardized situations.
-Computer Skills – Intermediate experience with MS Office. Intermediate experience with property management software. (Yardi)
Must be willing to assist on weekends if needed.
