Job Summary: Responsible for the leasing, marketing and maintaining positive resident relations of residential apartments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Market vacant units electronically (Craig’s list, GoSection8, FLHousingSearch).

· Market vacant units by distributing flyers, visiting local housing authorities, etc.

· Answer phones.

· Greet walk in applicants.

· Send out application packages to prospective renters.

· Assist applicants with the completion of applications.

· Schedule appointment interviews and showing of apartments.

· Generate mailings for third party verifications when processing move-in applications.

· Update and maintain apartment Waiting List including bi-annual purge.

· Conduct Eligibility Interviews.

· Prepare move in files for Manager’s review prior to move in.

· Assist in assignment of apartments to new residents.

· Prepare and mail application approval/rejection letters.

· Prepare tenant folders for move-in according to file audit checklists.

· Filing.

· Accountable to the Resident Manger of assigned property.

· Maintain confidentiality of all applicant/resident information/conversations.

· Any other duties assigned by the Manger or Regional Manager.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or its equivalent.

· Basic computer skills, including familiarity with word processing software, and other business software and office equipment.

· Cooperative and able to work as part of a team.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Consistently positive, professional and friendly demeanor.

· Prior Real Estate experience preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or walk briskly. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
