In the Leasing Consultant role you will combine your sales, customer service and marketing skills to build relationships with prospective residents and introduce them to your Madison Apartment Group community. As a Leasing Consultant, you are a key player, leading Madison’s efforts to shape and define a great experience for our existing and prospective residents.

  • Maintains an excellent customer service relationship by adhering to the Madison Life Style Standards.
  • Responds to internet leads, answer prospect calls and conduct property tours.
  • Utilizes established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios and work to achieve and exceed budgeted occupancy percentages.
  • Maintains thorough product knowledge of the property and competition.
  • Assists with market surveys as needed.
  • Collects deposit and/or fees associated with move-in.
  • Accurately prepare and have a thorough knowledge of all lease-related paperwork.
  • Assists residents with questions, maintenance requests, payment of rent or other requests on a daily basis.
  • Participates in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve, upgrade performance, and make efficient use of available and evolving systems and technology.
  • Follows policies relating to but not limited to Fair Housing, Harassment and safety standards set by Madison Apartment Group.
  • Supports the Vision, Mission and Values of Madison Apartment Group by participating in our supportive, team environment and conveying our culture of dedicated service to our residents by providing customer service with the highest level of courtesy, honesty and integrity.
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned by the Community Director.

Qualifications:

Must be available to work most Saturdays

  • High school diploma or 2 or 4 year college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years in a customer service or sales oriented role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to easily establish rapport and build long-term business relationships with your residents
  • Display a positive attitude and a strong, self-motivated work ethic
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work and maintain a flexible work schedule, which may require weekends and or holidays
