Full Job Description
Leasing Consultant Position Description
A. Leasing Consultant are required to handle the leasing process on the property, including qualifying prospects, answering the telephone, obtaining an appointment with the prospect, showing the property and leasing available units.
B. Specific duties include:
1. Greeting prospects.
2. Touring model or market ready units.
3. Accepting applications for residency.
a. Checking to see if application is complete.
b. Making sure prospect understands deposit policies.
c. Determining move-in date and unit desired.
d. Collecting deposit and application fee.
e. Verifying application.
f. Making recommendations to Property Manager about desirability of prospect.
4. Completing Apartment Lease and Addendum’s.
a. Property Manager to review.
b. Explaining lease to prospect.
5. Making entries to computer and/or status reports, of traffic.
6. Completing all move-in details.
a. Move-in package, lease expiration, rolodex cards.
b. Keys.
c. Copy of lease to resident.
d. Move-in condition report.
e. Collection of any deposits or rent due before allowing occupancy.
f. Ledger card or computer information initiated to include:
1. Lease beginning and ending dates.
2. Amount of rent per lease.
3. Deposits required including pet.
4. Names of all occupants.
5. Business and home phones.
7. Assist in preparation, call-in, faxing and mailing of weekly reports.
8. Maintaining accurate rolodex file.
9. Lease renewals.
a. Contacting resident sixty (60) days prior to lease expiration.
b. Typing lease renewals.
10. Write-up maintenance works orders and status board of repairs, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
