Sales Director // Sales // Property Management

Milestone Management is the residential management arm of Milestone Apartments REIT, a publically traded open-ended trust on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for effectively implementing the leasing and marketing programs, to promote the positive image of the apartment community and to assist property management with resident programs and retention. Seeking part-time and full-time candidates.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to)
- Handles all aspects of leasing apartments: greeting prospective residents, touring the community, following up with prospects, processing applications, closing the sale, completion of leases/paperwork prior to move-in etc.
- Assist and promotes marketing (Craigslist, leasing events, Social Media and promotions) and retention (renewal programs, resident events, etc.) programs.
- Maintains a detailed knowledge of the apartment community, amenities, surrounding neighborhood and competitive market.
- Consistently documents prospect phone and email contacts; looks for and follows-up potential leads regularly.
- Collects and secures rental payments.
- Accurately completes market survey.
- Provides daily inspections of show apartments, model appearance, common areas and community amenities.
- Produces reports in a timely, accurate and complete manner, including the monthly market survey, locator log and commission sheets.
- Maintains working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management.
- Handles or assists in the receiving, recording, preparation and follow up of service requests.
- Assists in the inspections and preparation of vacant apartments.

- Must have reliable transportation in order to perform essential job functions.
- Must have mode of communication in which to be contacted.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be available for overtime, weekend, holiday and evening work.
- Must be willing to be assigned to other communities as needed.
- Travel and overnight stays are required.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or sales experience required. This position requires a customer service and sales disposition.
- Strong ability to manage and adjust priorities on a daily basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to give presentations over the phone and in person.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Competent ability with personal computer- Microsoft Office, Internet; Yardi knowledge strongly preferred.
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
