Seeking a driven and motivated Leasing Manager to improve the efficiency of our student housing community. This position entails overseeing the marketing and leasing of the community. The Leasing Manager will work with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to develop strategies and procedures to implement the marketing and leasing processes. The Leasing Manager will train the leasing staff to ensure the leasing goals are maintained.
Leasing Manager Activities:
- Market vacant apartments to prospective residents.
- Ensure that prospects are followed up with by email or phone calls on a daily basis.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for social media accounts and online postings.
- Develop and execute a marketing plan for the distribution of promotional materials.
- Visit and Cross-Market with university organizations and local businesses to promote the property.
- Perform student placements to units based on specific student matching criteria.
- Maintain accurate tenant and prospect leasing data.
- Audit tenant files as needed to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Effectively oversee the leasing team and support staff.
- Maintain a productive working environment among the staff.
Requirements:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree
- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have knowledge of the revenue cycle in relation to campus housing.
- Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills
- Proficient with various computer programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and various internet applications.
- Must have excellent customer service, marketing and sales skills
- Must be available to work on some weekends
- Must perform other duties as needed by the Landlord
- Must possess thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, and all company policies
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management, employees, tenants, and external vendors.
Experience:
- Should have at least 3 years’ experience as a Leasing Manager in a student housing community.
- Rent Manager experience preferred.
