Job Description

Long standing and well-known Property Management company that provides affordable housing is looking for a leasing agent to join their busy team. This applicant must have previous Low Income Housing leasing experience to include touring Section 8 vacant apartments, helping applicants sign leases and assist with move-in packets. This person must also be able to work efficiently, independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Principal Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

– Contacting potential residents to tour community

– Recording service requests and entering into computer system
– Delivering notices to residents’ apartments
– Assist residents in filling out application
– Manage wait list
– Tour vacant units
– Collect rent payments and code invoices
– Directly assist Property Manager with projects
– Answering phones and greeting tenants

Qualifications and Requirements

– Proven knowledge of LIHTC Federal Regulations and Compliance requirements/ Section 8
– Minimum 1-3 years of Low Income Housing leasing experience
– Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and writing skills
– Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
– Ability to multitask
– Exceptional organization, writing and communication skills
– Ability to handle pressure and interruptions while working on multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines

We are conducting interviews for a start date of 8/7. Long-term contract. Paying $15/hr.
