Legal Assistant/Closer 537 to assist with commercial real estate transactions and to a lesser degree, residential transactions, at Stross Law Firm, P.A., Oldsmar, Florida (adjacent to Clearwater and Tampa). You will be working closely with an experienced team comprised of attorneys and support team members. Experience with real estate transactions including working with title insurance requirements is a must. You will be working in a fast paced environment. Your attention to detail should be second nature to you. Responsibilities:
• Ability to plan and prioritize various assignments/projects simultaneously;
• Proficiency with MS Windows based software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
• Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment;
• Strong attention to detail and follow through;
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Involved with the preparation for and the processing of real estate transactions from the beginning of the transaction through
closing;
• Order and review title searches and commitments for title
insurance, title insurance requirements, title insurance
endorsements, title search reports, and surveys;
• Use and maintain a due diligence checklist for each file;
• Work with title insurance commitments, title insurance
policies, settlement/closing statements, title objection letters, closing documents, estoppel requests, and disclosure forms;
Qualifications: At least one year of working experience as a Real Estate Legal Assistant or performing similar work in a title
insurance agency.
Salary: $54K
