Main priority will be to ensure that all client and administrative work is done accurately and efficiently. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
(1) Transcribing dictation, drafting, editing and finalizing documents (including correspondence, memos and pleadings);
(2) Data input of attorney and/or paralegal time entry and preparation of expense reports and other administrative forms;
(3) Calendaring dates and deadlines;
(4) Coordinating conference calls, meetings, Zoom meetings;
(5) Communicating with clients, outside attorneys and their staff;
(6) Coordinating depositions, hearings, and other related duties;
(7) Interacting with court personnel;
(8) Generally assisting attorneys in all areas of their respective practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have: (1) at least five years of relevant experience as a legal assistant with experience in litigation preferred; (2) proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Outlook; (3) effective communication and sound judgment skills; (4) thorough knowledge of local, state and federal court procedures and an ability to e-file documents with the courts; (5) outstanding interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively in a growing and diverse organization; (6) excellent organizational and project management skills; and (7) ability to keep confidential any information, observations, or viewpoints regarding business of the firm and its clients.
