What you will be doing:
The Legal Assistant position is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the law firm which includes carrying out administrative duties, ensuring positive client relationships, providing support to the legal team, and working efficiently to maintain deadlines and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and complete administrative duties such as answering and directing phone calls, greeting clients, requesting online filing, making copies
- Schedule meetings and coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary
- Understand and manage client expectations and needs
- Contribute as the main liaison between the client and attorneys by offering assistance and answering as many questions as possible
- Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
- Gather and arrange necessary legal documents for client file and attorney review
- Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and filings
- Monitor calendars to ensure deadlines are being met
- Document actions and input information into file and case management software
- Generate status reports and confirm case status with attorney
- Actively participate in the development of checklists and work processes
- Create and maintain firms systems and procedures
- Provide positive support and assistance to team to ensure delivery of Fletcher & Fischer goals
Qualifications:
- 5+ years working as a legal assistant
- Experience in Real Estate Law and Land Use
- Knowledgeable with Clio, Westlaw, OCULUS
- Build responsive client relationships
- Logical decision making
- Strong initiative with ability to problem solve
- Extremely high attention-to-detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective time management
- Strong follow-up and follow-through
- Resourceful and solution-oriented
- Focused organizational skills
- Sound math skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with expertise to draft correspondence as needed
