Personal injury firm located in Historic Ybor City is seeking an entry-level legal assistant to support the litigation team. The ideal candidate will have superior organizational skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and effectively balance competing priorities. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must. The candidate must have great people skills and a positive attitude.
Mandatory office hours are: 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and additional overtime may be necessary.
Starting rate for this position is $15.00 hourly, or commensurate with experience.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Respond to attorney requests in a timely manner
– Research critical information for caseloads (medical records, billing, reports, etc.)
– Clerical duties, including answering a multi-line phone system, routing incoming faxes to appropriate parties, filing, and greeting clients.
– Processing daily mail and deliveries
– Handle various administrative projects upon request
– Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
– 1 – 2 years of office/administrative experience. Experience in a law office setting (ideally personal injury) preferred, but not required.
– Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
– Have general knowledge in operating basic office equipment. Ability to work independently and as a team, and follow up on tasks with little oversight.
