Legal Assistant Job Summary
National law firm is seeking a litigation legal assistant to assist their firm in a temporary capacity beginning right away for several weeks, possibly months, in Tampa, FL. Previous litigation experience is prerequisite.
The area of practice is insurance defense law and litigation; with a majority of the focus upon all areas of first-party coverage, including windstorm, fire, theft, water damage, sinkhole, and “collapse claims.”
Legal Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have previous litigation experience; previous insurance defense and/or first party property experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-starter who is comfortable handling multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required;
- Proficiency in AIM / Perfect Law is a plus.
- Must be able to schedule and e-file.
- Qualified applicant will be able to hit the ground running with little to no direction.
- Also required: excellent written and verbal skills; proficiency with MS Office.
