Job Description:

  • Responsible for assisting legal counsel with litigating a portfolio of loans towards a favorable resolution.
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing Court dockets;
  • Drafting and preparation of various legal pleadings, motions, and affidavits;
  • Identify issues in the foreclosure process and expedite resolution of the same;
  • Drafting and preparation of discovery related documents including Request for Production, Interrogatories, and Request for Admissions;
  • Maintaining accurate and current case updates in Firm’s case management system as well as client’s case management systems;
  • Providing updates to the clients via BKFS, Lenstar, Vendorscape, Tempo & ADR;
  • Communicating and coordinating with opposing counsel about all issues of the case;
  • Coordinating and setting hearings while following the county specific requirements;
  • Meeting client deadlines;
  • Daily communication with clients in a professional manner via email, desktop, or phone conversations;
  • Assist legal counsel in all aspects and areas of the foreclosure process in a statewide practice as needed;
  • Build, nurture, and maintain positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years Florida legal experience;
  • Working legal knowledge of foreclosure and real estate transactions;
  • Positive “can do” attitude;
  • Self-motivator and willingness to adapt to change as the industry requires;
  • Capable to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner;
  • Ability to demonstrate acceptance of responsibility for both achievements and errors;
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer;
  • Experience working in client systems: BKFS/LoanSphere, Lenstar, Vendorscape, Tempo and/or ADR preferred.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing;
  • Eager to learn new tasks and willingness to embrace change;
  • Ability to build positive relationships with other team members and members of the organization;
  • Ability to work both independently and contribute in every aspect to a team environment;
  • Comply with all company policies.
