Legal Assistant / Paralegal needed for permanent position in downtown St. Petersburg . Position works with attorneys and requires some litigation experience, excellent Word and proofreading skills. Some experience in litigation is preferred but firm is willing to train the right candidate. Some law firm experience is required. You must be very organized and detailed oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment. This firm offers an extremely attractive salary and an outstanding benefits package plus bonus. 37.5 hour work week, generous first year PTO, health and other benefits, 401k, paid parking, Bonus, holidays plus a nice professional work environment
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence via transcription or hard copy
- Edit, format and proofread documents
- Scheduling client meetings, court hearings, depositions, mediations and trials
- Managing the calendar for meetings and court hearings and deadlines
- Scheduling via Zoom
- e-filing with the courts in State and Federal Courts
- Monitoring incoming mail and email
- Arranging for delivery of legal correspondence
- Organizing and maintaining client files
- Entering attorney time for electronic submission to clients
