RESPONSIBILITIES
- Order and organize title commitments, exception documents and surveys.
- Assistance with closings, including preparation and revising of conveyance documents, closing statements, transfer tax forms, and escrow release documentation.
- Attending to post-closing requirements, including, preparation and organization of closing binders, and monitoring of post-closing deliveries and other requirements.
- Preparation of correspondence and memoranda.
- Preparation of lease and transactional documents.
- Track change/redline and compare documents in Microsoft Word
- Ordering UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches.
- Draft and review business/real estate contracts.
- Prepare and record documents, including, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases and UCC financing statements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- 2-4 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in a Real Estate Law Firm
Salary
40,000.00 – 55,000.00 /year
