The Legal Assistant is responsible for:

  • Drafting standard contracts; including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, etc.
  • Receiving and screening telephone calls and correspondence
  • Coordinating with in-house and outside counsel on specific legal issues, and organization of research files and memoranda
  • Organizing and maintain corporate record books. Assist with regulatory licensing and compliance matters, including assembling necessary applications for various entities and filing annual reports.
  • Assisting with legal department administration support, including document management
  • Preparing/revising general correspondence, memoranda, reports, PowerPoint presentations and other legal documents
  • Performing general administrative support for the Legal Department
  • Assisting with preparing, sorting, and mailing legal documents.
  • Partnering with technical personnel to automate processes and improve organizational efficiency

The Title Processor is responsible for:

  • Title processing, complying with title insurance requirements, and clearing title exceptions.
  • An understanding of lenders title requests and documents.
  • An understanding of title standards and basic understanding of title clearance.
  • Possessing the skill set to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to process a file from contract to close.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payoff, per diems, tax prorations, interest and HOA’s, etc.
  • Working closely with realtors, mortgage lenders/brokers, builders, buyer/sellers.
  • Receive and review residential & commercial real estate contracts & documents.
  • Prepare title commitments, HUD/ALTA statements and other documents related to closing.
  • Ordering payoff statements, homeowner’s association estoppel letters, surveys.
  • Working closely with closing teams to ensure client satisfaction and on-time closing demands.
  • Checking documents for accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
