Tampa-based Title Company seeking an experienced Licensed Title Agent. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience working as a Title Closer/Escrow Officer and be a Licensed Notary Public.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
The Title Closer/Escrow Officer will coordinate and process closings in a timely, customer-service oriented fashion, while maintaining excellent communication with management, lenders and customers. The Title Closer/Escrow Officer will ensure the success of the company through tasks, such as:
- Inputting closing information into Ramquest/Closers Choice Software experience – REQUIRED
- Attending and facilitating real estate closings as assigned
- Determining escrow requirements by studying and clarifying seller, buyer and lender instructions
- Completing closing transaction documents by reviewing papers with parties, explaining provisions and procedures and answering questions
- Checking documents for completeness and accuracy
- Obtaining signatures and notarizing documents as needed
- Making necessary changes to the HUD-1 Settlement Statement
- Disbursing funds after obtaining approval from the lender
- Calculating final mortgage payoffs Requirements of the Title Closer/Escrow Officer
- Supervising activities to determine legal condition of the property, and clearing all necessary title issues
- Handling all incoming and outgoing wire transfers
- Managing the completion of closing and escrow disbursements
- Preparing and close all TRID loans per the CFPB
- Signing policies commitments and binders
- Completing Monthly Escrow analysis
- Preparing and coordinating yearly underwriting audits
The Title Closer/Escrow Officer must have the following knowledge and required skills:
- Firm knowledge of more complex closings, including, but not limited to Short Sale and REO
- Experience in Ramquest/Closers Choice software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- A customer-service mindset
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to coordinate with a variety of departments and outside organizations
Also Required:
- Must be Notary Public, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- A High School Diploma, with college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 5 or more years as a recent title closer/ escrow officer in previous position
- Excellent mathematical skills
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screen
***SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE (up to $60k to start depending on book of business and customer base) Salary plus comm.
