Job Description
Established AV rated Tampa Insurance Defense Firm looking for a new Litigation Paralegal to join our team! A minimum of 3 years litigation or defense experience is required. Position includes all aspects of case management from Pre-Suit through Trial. This is outstanding opportunity to work in a professional and enjoyable environment with a group of experienced attorneys. Remote rotation schedule is available during COVID.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research, background searches and initial case assessments
- Draft pleadings, motions and E-file.
- Coordinate and schedule experts.
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of discovery, including non party production, subpoenas, and the follow up of Medical Records
- Maintaining a Medical Chronology Index
- Organize exhibits, documents, and evidence.Skills
- Must have applicable knowledge of insurance defense or other relevant experience.
- Highly organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle heavy case load with multiple partners.
- Attention to detail, strong written and oral communication are necessary
- Efficiency with using a Case Management System (ATO preferred) and strong computer skills needed
