The Pinellas County Attorney’s Office seeks one experienced in-house attorney to litigate, try and
appeal civil and administrative actions before the State and Federal Courts, hearing officers, and
Administrative Law Judges. This position involves the handling of litigation involving the County
or Constitutional Officers including but not limited to cases in one or more of the following areas:
torts; employment; construction; real estate-related matters; inverse condemnation or eminent
domain; and other civil and administrative litigation as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have significant first chair trial experience in a range of types of cases and
venues, on behalf of a Florida local government. Minimum qualifications include admission to, and
good standing with, the Florida Bar; and 1-4 years of litigation experience for Assistant County
Attorney 1 ($60,174 – $96,283), or 5 years of litigation experience for Assistant County Attorney 2
($93,454 – $149,510). Board Certification in an applicable area is preferred.
