Job purpose
The Building and Grounds Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining the building’s exterior and interior, providing a clean, efficient and safe property. Provides proper maintenance of the building, including grounds keeping,
Duties and responsibilities
- Complete work orders in a timely manner while focused on a variety of building maintenance, repair and installation operations as assigned and directed by the Board.
- Perform a wide range of maintenance duties including but not limited to; grounds keeping, construction, electrical, drywall components, and general up-keep of the building.
- Must be knowledgeable of electrical, hvac, refrigeration, plumbing systems, building codes, safety regulations, blueprint interpretation, grounds, and landscaping.
- Perform a variety of preventative maintenance on all systems.
- Responsible for inspecting, cleaning, servicing, adjusting, diagnosing problems and making basic repairs to a variety of equipment to the interior/exterior of the building.
- The building and grounds coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the property maintenance meets the owners/Board standards and those set by law to maintain a high level of curb appeal at all times.
- Monitor the quality of all vendors and contractors to ensure scheduled work is completed on time.
- Organize, prioritize and ensure service requests and repairs are made correctly and in timely manner
- Review, evaluate, coordinate and recommend work bids from contractors
- Keeps the Board informed of day-to-day routines, issues, and resolutions.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize work load
- Other tasks or duties as assigned by Vice President of the Tower Isle Board.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Florida Driver’s License
- Must have minimum of two years licensed driving experience
- Completion of secondary education
- Basic computer literacy knowledge of and ability to utilize computer skill for communication
- Maintain and proof of yearly CEUs for all current license/certificate requirements
Working conditions
- Depending on task at hand will work both indoors and outdoors
Physical requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Walk up and down stairs frequently.
- Climbing ladders, crawling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and kneeling will be a necessity.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs.).
