This is highly responsible technical, administrative, supervisory, and management work in planning and directing the operations of mobile fleet of plumbing and electrical workers. Work involves planning, directing, and reviewing the work of support staff engaged in the installation and repair of commercial and residential plumbing and electrical metering systems. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and initiative in carrying out daily operations of the organization that includes decisions on priorities, schedules, and operating budget.
Responsibilities:
- Show technicians how to establish customer rapport to represent the company in a professional manner.
- Understand sales and application criteria for each job and hold your team accountable for meeting the requirements to install and document each job.
- Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
- Monitor performance of field technicians and advise them on how to improve.
- Manage team schedule to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.
- Train team on new technologies and methodologies pertaining to the industry.
- Develop employee training processes.
- Hire/fire/discipline as needed.
- Review and approve invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
- Serve as a technical back-up for field technicians when necessary.
- Supervise all work to ensure it meets standards.
- Oversee ordering, shipping, and inventory control.
- Manage call backs and interact with customers.
- Track material and equipment.
- Develop and implement processes for smother operations.
- Develop and implement safety processes.
- Work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Must have current driver’s license in good standing.
- Have good customer relations skills.
- Have good management skills.
- Ability to multi task.
- Personally review any client concerns, keeping management up to date on progress and ensure that they are brought to a successful conclusion.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Experience in Plumbing, Electrical, Multi-Family Property Maintenance, and/or Project Management preferred
- 2+ years of Personnel Management required
