Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will cover the maintenance activities, operation effectiveness and current/future planning of maintenance for the district/region.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure equipment maintenance, quality control, and maintenance performed by crews and/or contractors.
  • Lead work teams through example and motivation, instruction, coaching, discipline, and otherwise oversee employee and/or contractor work performance.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, plant rules, environmental and safety procedures, and laws.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure completion of work orders, preventive maintenance, and proactive identification of equipment reliability issues.
  • Utilize lean methodologies to help enforce best practices amongst sites.
  • Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
  • Perform cost justification analysis.
  • Analyzing equipment and making recommended changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Mechanical Engineering major preferred
  • 1-5 years of progressive maintenance experience in large industrial manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years working with heavy equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience designing maintenance programs
  • Experience managing a budget
Working Conditions
  • Some exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical Requirements
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
