Maintenance supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance staff in conjunction with General Manager. Conducts project inspection, inspects and monitors work by staff, outside vendors and contractors for quality, completeness and for conformance to specifications and standards. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, college background preferred. Journeyman level practical experience in one or more commercial maintenance fields (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.). Must have effective written and oral communication skills. Must have effective leadership and organizational skills. The vast majority of time is spent climbing, standing or walking while making repairs in the hotel. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress and or completion of the assignment. Carrying or lifting items that weigh approximately 100 lbs. Occurs often. Must be able to work outside in inclement weather. Associate benefits include paid time off and 401K.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Monitors all property maintenance and upkeep. Ensures that required documentation is complete.
- Order and control purchase of required parts and supplies while demonstrating effective budget management.
- Conducts effective staff scheduling, payroll work-up and personnel management.
- Stays abreast of all federal, state and local government requirements relating to facility maintenance operation, permits and licensing.
- Maintains effective equipment and room preventative maintenance programs.
- Coordinates and monitors property security and contract services.
- Responsible for property-wide fire safety, related equipment and training.
- Maintains effective key control program.
- Consistently inspects property to determine maintenance needs.
