JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Job Description: Maintenance Supervisor

 

Reports to: Plant Engineer

 

Organizational Relationship

 

Monitors plant uptime, utilization of labor resources, operating costs, equipment and labor.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Monitors daily downtime reports to improve plant uptime and improve product through put with maintenance and production staff.

 

• Monitors response time for calls to maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.

 

• Monitors in-house preventive maintenance program and follows up on worksheets turned in.

 

• Reviews and assigns all maintenance and safety work requests.

 

• Reviews all material requisitions with plant engineer for approval.

 

• Monitors projects to be completed for scheduling of labor and parts.

 

• Monitors overtime costs, documents causes, and reviews with plant engineer.

 

• Reviews daily timesheets turned in by maintenance personnel.

 

• Review maintenance personnel machine operators and trains as necessary to improve plant uptime.

 

• Trouble shoots electronics and electrical problems with maintenance staff as needed.

 

• Any other duties as assigned by Management.
