Sentry Management, Inc. has an exciting on-site opening at Redington Shores/Beach area for a skilled Maintenance Tech.
Skills/Abilities:
Desirable skills are those associated with a general handyman such as carpentry, electrical, irrigation, plumbing, painting and pool care (licensed where required). The maintenance associate must be able to work under general supervision on a schedule developed by the community manager and the board of directors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect the grounds for trash and/or tree debris (branches, palm fronds), especially around the frontage along the main roadway, the area around trash receptacles, the lakefront, pool and clubhouse area and tennis court.
- Assist the manager by observing and reporting any hazardous situation or potential violation of community rules during property inspections.
- Ensure that signage is in good repair and legible, including unit identification numbers, tennis court rules, pool rules/no diving signs, traffic direction/speed limit/tow-away zone signs, solicitation and trespass warning signs and dog walk area signs.
- Remove trash and debris from pool area and restroom facilities.
- Organize the pool furniture, checking for cleanliness and damage. Clean and repair as needed.
- Remove trash from clubhouse, pool area and restroom facilities.
- Clean the pool by vacuuming the floor and sides as well as skimming the surface. Record water level and chemical readings. Record any other maintenance on the form in pump room
- Inspect the sprinkler system by turning it on manually. Adjust the spray for each head, if necessary, and replace any damaged or missing sprinkler heads. Edge grass away from sprinkler heads as needed. Ensure the timing features for each zone are correct on the irrigation controller and adjust for daylight savings time as needed.
- Clean roadways, sidewalks and tennis court of sand and debris by utilizing a leaf blower.
- Maintain grass surrounding the lakefront at a reasonable level by using a weed eater or other appropriate device.
- Check all wood steps and landings for weak boards and replace as needed.

Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record
