The Position -Maintenance Technician:

Your contributions to the team ensures that our guests have a safe and comfortable environment to call home for the night; your technical skills and sense of urgency helps keep operations running smoothly.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

· Creates a safe and attractive environment for guests and staff by ensuring the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.

· Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within all areas of the hotel, including flipping mattresses, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, deep cleaning carpet, mopping floors, waste removal, touch-up painting or wall paper repair, replacing filters and ceiling tiles, changing light bulbs, patching holes in walls, ensuring that all appliances are present in the room and in working order, cleaning and replacing light fixtures, and repairing grout and caulking.

· Perform miscellaneous minor repairs on toilets, sinks, shower/bathtubs, doors, locks, mirrors, laundry facilities, kitchen equipment and other hotel property.

· Maintains safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool and exercise room.

· Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.

· Assist in set up and breakdown of meeting space/conference areas.

Other General Requirements of the Position:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum of one year of hotel or apartment maintenance experience.

· Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing.

· Experience with general maintenance tools.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of basic math.

· Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance.

· Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward.

· Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

· Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.

· Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals.

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Recruitment Process
