Large Multifamily Apartment community is seeking a full time maintenance technician. Our community has over 600 units and is a fast paced environment. We are looking for a reliable technician that can assist with work orders, exterior building maintenance, getting apartments ready for lease and all property projects. Candidate must be able to do on call and work the hours of 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities will include (not limited to):
- Diagnose and perform all maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance installation and carpentry.
- Must have strong HVAC skills
- Ensure that all work orders are done in 24-48 hours with the service being done correctly and not needing follow up visits.
- Document work performed on a service request.
- Assess vacated apartments and perform maintenance to ensure the apartment is ready for a new tenant. Installation of appliances, upgrades to units, HVAC service/replacement, install new light fixtures, new cabinetry, etc…..
- Ensure all apartments are turned within time frame mandated by property manager and maintaining an adequate number of make ready units that meet company standards.
- Excellent customer service for residents.
- Complete preventative maintenance.
- Projects to enhance the community and grounds
- Daily upkeep of the property which includes grounds pick up,light landscape details and exterior areas of the buildings
- Available for on call shifts for emergency situations. A week at a time.
- Must be able to lift, bend, climb and do physical work
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and demanding environment
Candidate must be punctual,reliable, have a positive outlook towards their daily work, be a team player, friendly and customer service orientated. Must have own transportation to work and a valid drivers license.
Candidate must have:
2 years of HVAC experience. Must have certification.
2 years of multifamily maintenance experience
General plumbing and carpentry skills
