Maintenance Technician

Become an active member of the team. Through experience and training, the Maintenance Technicians should acquire all the skills to Rise Up and assume the Maintenance Supervisor’s responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving property performance by performing any and all work that produces clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including: pools, laundries, clubhouses, parking lots, etc
- Driving resident satisfaction by responding to and completing work orders timely in a quality manner
- Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day
- Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors
- Maintaining property value by performing preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Ensuring Resident satisfaction by preparing vacant apartments for move-in
- Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs on the property and correcting them and/or reporting them to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintaining and repairing critical building and site systems
- Using software applications to track work and personal performance
- Be a part of a team handling a variety of tasks in an always developing environment
What you must have:
- At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
- Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
- Trade Licensing preferred but not required
- Must have own hand tools
- Must live within 30 minutes of community
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
What’s Nice to Have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
