SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician performs various tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the District Council’s properties including the District Office, Food Center, CARE Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and their adjacent grounds and provides support to the Plant Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and provide back up to the Plant Operations Manager in ensuring that each and every building is operating at maximum efficiency and is safe and secure for employees, volunteers, clients and visitors
- Use a broad spectrum of skills covering such trades as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, air conditioning, electrical, painting in his day-to-day activities
- Undertake special maintenance projects in the Food Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and District Office as directed
- Help keep the Center of Hope’s client rooms in good order by repainting, repairing and/or readying rooms for new admissions while seeing to other maintenance issues in rooms of existing clients
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Complies with all applicable training requirements
- Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
- Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs
- Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team
- Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. Mission
- MUST HAVE a Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
