Full Job Description
The Clearwater Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) is an asset management company that provides innovative, progressive and affordable property management. We deliver our services with integrity, pride and efficiency for all of our stakeholders.
We are seeking two Maintenance Technician II’s and one Maintenance Technician III to perform a variety of tasks to improve and maintain the physical quality of an assigned property. A Maintenance Technician completes maintenance tasks and repairs in vacant apartments, resident apartments and common areas. Performs preventative maintenance tasks to maintain property appearance and safety. EPA/CFC Certification and Valid Driver’s License required.
The work is performed in a variety of environments under the immediate oversight of the Maintenance Supervisor and with overall direction of the Capital Maintenance Officer. These are Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm benefits-eligible positions with one on-call weekend monthly in Clearwater, FL.
The following experience and competencies must be reflected on your resume:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Three to five years of experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances and/or electrical maintenance and repair.
- Computer proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office software.
- Possession of a valid EPA/CFC certification.
- Possession of valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Trades to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevator systems, painting, refrigeration and carpentry.
- Equipment and appliance minor repair.
- Safety, fire prevention and first aid techniques.
- Building maintenance practices and principles.
- Measurement and mathematical calculations.
- Resource allocation.
- Operate motor vehicle.
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions and locations including confined areas, rooftops, underground spaces, etc.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
