Maintenance Technician
ACCEND is looking for a Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical integrity of our community in Tampa FL. You will be responsible to carry out assigned duties listed below in a safe manner and any other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform tasks personally
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance, service request, and make ready status of all vacant apartments
- Furniture assembly and moving may be required
- Furniture set up and inventory recording for the property
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair involving:
- Electrical & Plumbing
- A/C and heating
- Appliances
- Stairs, gates, fences, patios, and railings
- Interior/exterior lights
- Gas fixtures and appliances
- Fireplaces, ceiling fans
- Water irrigation systems
- Assist in keeping the grounds neat and free of litter
- Perform regular check on exterior parts of buildings and general areas, carrying out repairs and offering janitorial help as required
- Support scheduled yearly unit inspections
- Make ready apartments before they are occupied
- Give responses to resident service inquiries and interests promptly
- Carry out all on-call emergencies as necessary
- Give report on maintenance matters for reconstruction of models, vacant and/or routine areas to the maintenance supervisor
- May render assistance in supervising supplies and/or maintenance inventory
- Transfer heavy objects as requested
- Render assistance to the community manager on specific maintenance projects.
Education & Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years as a Maintenance Technician
- High school diploma required
- EPA Certified preferred
- Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Ability to train and direct maintenance staff
- Ability to navigate property management software and computer programs
- On Call nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
