Brandon Academy Private School seeks a facilities /maintenance with the ability to perform all job duties and responsibilities. The successful candidate must have the willingness and capacity to perform handyman/maintenance tasks, have an eye for detail and a willingness to perform tasks that are needed. The selected candidate must also be able to work cooperatively within a school environment with the appropriate demeanor to work around children and adolescents
Essential Functions

* Maintain the interior and exterior in all areas of assigned buildings.
* Ensure the property is well maintained and in good repair.
* Maintain the cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas of the building
* Perform maintenance/handyman tasks, such as light electrical, light plumbing, light HVAC, painting, pressure washing, changing AC filters, clean up of campus debris, and other repairs as needed.
* Move furniture and equipment within the facility as required for various activities as directed
* Work off-site on behalf of BA during periods when Head of School has authorized.
* Maintain a professional, helpful, and team-oriented attitude.
* Respond quickly and remain accessible to school staff.
* Ability to work independently with an eye for detail.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum of one year of facilities / custodial services experience preferred
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Valid Drivers license
Pass criminal background check / Drug test.
Transportation and use of personal vehicle for transporting facilities equipment required.
12 months per year/ 35hrs a week
Pay – $14+ Depending on experience and skill set
7am-2:45pm Normal hours
Occasional after hours and work during special activities and sporting events for additional hourly pay.
