This is part-time unskilled and limited semi-skilled manual work in cleaning and litter pick-up on the exterior of facilities as well as various cleaning tasks on the interior such as mopping, scrubbing, waxing floors, cleaning restrooms and replenishing supplies, moving furniture, performing minor repairs, and other related tasks on the interior and exterior of municipal buildings and facilities. Work requires skill in the use of standard hand tools, the operation of gas and electric power tools including leaf blowers, pressure washers and floor buffers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Occasionally there will be the opportunity to work extra hours later in the day.

Salary:
 $12.59 – $17.67 per hour (approximately 20 hours per week)

To Qualify

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:
  • Must be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to plan and organize routine work details.

Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:
  • Have a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Have considerable experience performing building and property maintenance.
  • Have experience operating gas and electric power tools and equipment.
  • Are able to maintain physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the various manual task, sometimes under unfavorable weather conditions.
