Purpose of Job
Manages a team of Real Estate Closers who are dedicated to knowing our members, understanding their individual needs, and providing appropriate solutions. Develops employees through regular coaching and feedback that leads to improved results. Executes process improvements and leads organizational process changes. Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
We are currently seeking a talented Manager, Real Estate Closing for the Tampa Campus.
Job Requirements
- Ensures loans are closed in accordance with prescribed policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Maintains expert knowledge of Bank Real Estate products and expands knowledge to additional products.
- Handles member escalations and makes appropriate risk decisions based on policies.
- Maintains compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Selects, develops, and supports employees in fulfillment of our Mission.
- Serves as a team leader, coach, mentor, role model, and change agent to a team of front-line employees who fulfill Real Estate loans for members.
- Ensures employees understand how the tasks they perform support the Mission.
- Performs managerial duties to include performance evaluations, salary reviews, behavior modification, career counseling, and resolution of employee issues.
- Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends improvements to processes and procedures in the organization, to promote maximum efficiency and enhance the member experience.
- Implements and monitors processes and performance standards.
- Provides feedback for improvements to process and/or product owners.
- Removes obstacles and champions change.
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree
- 6 or more years of progressive related experience required.
- 2 or more years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience required.

Preferred
- 5+ years of processing or closing experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules to meet the needs of mortgage closings which could consist of possible Saturdays.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- 2 or more years of experience interacting with management, regulatory agencies, and business partners to ensure appropriate execution.
- Ability to manage a pipeline effectively.
- 3 or more years advanced level of business acumen within closing and funding, industry practice and emerging trends.
- 3 or more years working knowledge of banking rules and regulation laws
