GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for developing brand communication strategies for both internal and external initiatives and audiences. The role serves as a strategic business partner for Operations, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and other departments to provide brand consistency across projects, and maximize brand voice across relevant mediums.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
  • Create brand strategies maximizing brand awareness and engagement at various points throughout the candidate, employee and client experience
  • Work closely with operations leadership and build positive, collaborative relationships to provide proactive communications expertise across brand-impacting initiatives and projects
  • Develop on-brand, on-voice materials to engage internal and external audiences, including copy and design for print and digital outlets
  • Manage initiatives and deliverables to provide the business on-time and quality materials
  • Create and manage content calendar across multiple publications
  • Work closely with site leaders to implement impactful brand materials within their facility to showcase our culture and expertise, working within company guidelines
  • Monitor and analyze metrics across internal and external company communication platforms to ensure effectiveness and relevance, while maximizing reach
  • Monitor media outlets for coverage of the company and high-profile clients
  • Develop PR strategies as needed within North America communities as part of an overall brand strategy
  • Identify media contacts and build targeted media lists
  • Communicate with various leaders throughout the organization to generate alignment and awareness of brand initiatives
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field required. Five plus years working in the field of communications or related agency experience with a successful track record in writing compelling content and managing multiple projects successfully.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to build business acumen to link communications strategy to business/functional goals and objectives
  • Strong ability to build productive relationships and lead development of communication strategies through interactions with diverse business partners across a variety of functions and geographies

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Strong strategic planning skills and ability to interact with executives throughout projects
  • Knowledge of graphics applications: Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator) and/or Microsoft Publisher.
  • Strong knowledge of digital printing procedures, layout and design
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time
