The Retail Sales Analytics Manager will have direct and manage a team to process point-of-sale data feeds, interpreting data findings, identifying sales trends, and taking business-positive actions for improved sales and inventory utilization. The role will manage data management, analytics and reporting, account engagement, and personnel development.

 

Responsibilities
Data Management
  • Overseeing weekly process of UPC file extracts and transmission to third party data management solution, SPS Commerce.
  • Validating, correcting, and publishing current and historic data feeds from key partner retailers for department use.
  • Managing SPS Commerce’s dedicated resource team for data quality and process improvements to meet expanding Fanatics business needs.
  • Engaging with SPS Commerce and Fanatics senior leadership for new account onboarding to the data collection process.
Analytics and Reporting
  • Developing, testing and deploying report dashboards in the Brands BI & SPS Commerce Microstrategy reporting environment.
  • Servicing specific department needs with customized reporting – providing scheduled report delivery, dynamic dashboard access and in-meeting data reviews.
  • Identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and creating scheduled and threshold alert reports for to automated delivery to primary decision makers.
  • Report presentations to external partners (key accounts, leagues, etc.)
  • Intra and inter-department report training.
Account Engagement
  • Oversee weekly sales recommendations to account managers and key retailer partners for increased supplemental business.
  • Manage account order commits and utilizing available inventory shelf-stock to service retailer sales needs while ensuring a Fanatics-friendly inventory position.
  • Review and recommend adjustments to retailer import bookings.
  • Foster a positive relationship between key partners and Fanatics with sound analytics-backed recommendations.
Personnel Development
  • Support a team of Retail Sales Analytics channel managers, senior sales analysts, and sales analysts in their daily functions.
  • Work in conjunction with team members to develop best practices and processes to meet their specific account demands.
  • Establish and communicate clear and direct job function expectations and career advancement milestones, for every team member.
  • Build and maintain a pool of qualified talent to meet future department demands.
