Gerdau is currently seeking a Marketing Analyst I for its Tampa, FL Corporate Offices. Relocation is not provided for this position.
Responsibilities:
The responsibility of this position is to support the marketing and sales organizations by the collection and analysis of data related to
Gerdau products in North America. This includes but is not limited to all imports to Canada, United States, Mexico and the analysis of global
steel trade, the analysis of Gerdau market share for all products, and the change in market direction. Interaction with Gerdau South America to
input to the Gerdau Business System (GBS), Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, Gerdau balanced scorecard preparation, and price benchmarking both domestic and global will be regular activities. Additionally the analyst will work with the sales team to identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect our business.
The Marketing Analyst I will be responsible for collecting data from various internal and external sources and working with this data to support Gerdau’s marketing processes and practices. The Marketing Analyst I will typically follow established routines and be responsible for the collection, analysis and distribution of market data, publishing regular reports as well as provide data to others within Gerdau (local and international) to support ongoing projects.
Principle Accountabilities:
*Support the sales organization by the collection and analysis of statistics (import, national shipments, etc.) for products produced by Gerdau and for downstream products where necessary. Outputs will be in clear graphic format that are readily understandable by customers to whom they will be presented by sales staff.
*Investigate the global market for all Gerdau North America steel products to identify areas with changing surplus / deficit status.
*Research and analyze price benchmarks. Research domestic and global prices by product to recognize opportunities and threats for all products.
*Work with sales to identify new market areas that will enhance and compliment short and long term strategic growth to meet customer needs, profitability and production objectives of the company.
*Provide data as required to support the GLN scorecard activities monthly.
*Assist management as necessary on a daily basis.
*Interact on a daily basis with various sales personnel, and management on all pricing issues pertaining to Commercial Sales.
*Assist the marketing Director and Marketing Managers in competitor benchmarking and statistical analysis of market drivers as required.
