Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager directly oversees the property management marketing operations located in downtown Tampa, FL. This position will support the national leasing efforts and has a team of direct reports titled ‘Marketing Specialists’ whose key responsibilities include the listing of rental homes for advertisement over a multi-state portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-departmentally to develop and implement process improvements to increase bandwidth and team productivity.
- Prioritize marketing projects assigned by leadership; communicate expectations/instructions to team; oversee process and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Assist Marketing Specialists with the execution of high-volume projects under tight deadlines.
- Oversee day-to-day responsibilities of the marketing department; handle escalations of conflicts, requests and listing issues.
- Conduct weekly individual and team meetings with Marketing Specialists; provide customized training/coaching on best practices to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
- Monitor and approve team timecards and requested days off; ensure proper staffing is always in effect.
- Represent marketing team in meetings with other departments, leadership, and external vendors.
- Provide listing coverage for Marketing Specialists’ sick and PTO days.
- Conduct daily audits to verify properties are listed properly; research and make changes as needed; provide feedback to Marketing Specialists.
- Troubleshoot technological issues and work with the software development team to resolve them.
- Review and reconcile monthly invoicing/billing.
- Review and approve social media postings.
- Write and proofread original content for resident communications and marketing flyers.
- Ensure consistency and messaging pertaining to the Second Avenue brand.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
Ideal Candidate Characteristics and Background
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5+ years of real estate or related experience.
- Strong work ethic, value system and a high level of adaptability.
- Proven ability to be self-starter that thrives in a team environment.
- Leadership experience with direct oversight of personnel.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experienced MS Office user; highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and related software platforms.
