The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast Engineering, you will ensure the accurate and successful operation of transmission output ensuring seamless delivery on all broadcast platforms and streams, prioritizing the assigned operational workload and maintaining best working practices. The Media Operations Technicians will manage the operation of end-to-end media management workflows used by the edit suites, live control rooms and non-live playout. You are accountable for ensuring all of our content plays out 100% 100% of the time. In all where errors and issues are found, the MOT should perform fault finding and escalate to the correct team to ensure no quality issues ever reach our customers. This role will be onsite at our St. Petersburg, FL location.

Your Impact
- You will maintain the health and quality of all outbound transmission/streaming and inbound returns.
- You will support additional live feeds and social media simulcast programming.
- You will be responsible for playout of all live and non-live channels.
- You will implement live streaming to multiple platforms.
- You will monitor and work with the system dashboards to ensure that systems and platform monitoring is functional, troubleshooting issues when they arise.
- You will correct configuration and operation of all applications in the Media Operations Center including channel automation and routing, ensuring that the highest operational standards and agreed service levels are met.
- You will monitor all sales and inventory data and respond with appropriate on-air graphic information.
- You will monitor network management dashboard and troubleshoot all Broadcast network devices.
- You will conduct routine QC checks on software, processes, equipment and all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals.
- You will perform service recovery according to set procedures during both server-based play out and live shows, informing all relevant departments through the ticketing system.
- You will correct configuration and operation of all applications in Media Operations including channel automation and routing, ensuring that the highest operational standards and agreed service levels are met.
- You will be first line investigation and resolution of technical and operational issues within the transmission and MAM environment and control room systems, still store, play out, graphics, cameras, robotics, switchers and routers.
What You Bring
- Minimum Education:
- College degree, technical school, Military training or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
- Minimum Experience:
- One or more years of recent engineering, control room, media operations or network operations experience in a television broadcast environment.
- Overall knowledge of the television production processes broadcast operations and technical production requirements.
