Job Summary:
The Mortgage Compliance Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining documentation regarding regulatory compliance laws applicable to residential mortgage loans. The Mortgage Compliance Specialist will design, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures for conducting compliance reviews on client portfolios.
Job Duties:
- Establish and maintain documentation regarding regulatory compliance laws applicable to residential mortgage loans.
- Design, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures for conducting compliance reviews on client portfolios.
- Work with the information technology team to enhance company systems in order to improve the efficiency and quality of the review process
- Provide oversight of compliance review findings to ensure the quality of results.
- Assist or manage production teams in order to meet client deadlines.
- Provide leadership to compliance specialists, including designing training programs and providing assistance on escalated compliance issues.
- Interact with clients on final reports and assist with rebuttals when necessary.
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. In some cases, substantial, relevant experience may be substituted for this qualification
- Experience/Knowledge:
- 2 or more years’ of mortgage regulatory compliance experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state mortgage laws, including but not limited to QM/ATR, TRID, RESPA, Reg Z, HOEPA, and HPML

Work Environment:
