We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated person to join our team and fill a Loan Closer position. As a Mortgage Loan Closer you will be responsible for timely and accurately preparing final closing loan documents. Duties include inputting and validating data to ensure accurate final calculations and loan information, reviewing and addressing title issues prior to closing, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Review loans and accurately complete all data input into mortgage loan origination system for preparation to order closing documents.
- Communicate with customers, staff, realtors, title companies, etc. to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain any additional documentation required to complete the loan file.
- Obtains signatures on all closing document and verifies their accuracy and completion.
- Calculate final closing costs and disburse funds.
- Ensure accuracy, organize, review and analyze documents in the loan file related to closing; work with appropriate departments or third parties to rectify any problems.
- Act as a communication touch point with the operations center, mortgage bankers, closing agent, and post-closing departments.
- Confirm fundings are successful and request return of funds if a closing is cancelled.
- Review final closing package for delivery to investor, image the closing package, and deliver collateral within required time frames.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Job Requirements

- Minimum 3 years closing experience in a Retail Mortgage environment
- Ensure compliance with bank, regulatory and investor guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Positive Attitude
- Quality Customer Service standards.
- Encompass experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of loan processing and closing policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines and accomplish goals
- Strong sense of urgency and results oriented
- Must be able to work in a fast pace, high pressure environment

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
