O.J. Mortgage Company has been an established mortgage broker in the Tampa Bay area for over 24 years. We are looking for Loan Officers who can generate a minimum of one to two closed loans per month, is self-motivated, loves the industry, has a positive attitude and comfortable with technology. Our Loan Officers have the freedom and flexibility of working from home if they want.

Description of role:

Originates residential mortgage loans. Develops relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources to maintain a quality network and establish a book of business for new mortgage lending opportunities.

Tasks:

  • Originates the mortgage loans, including pricing and locking pre-approved loan transactions.
  • Counsels borrowers on the appropriate loan programs and educates them on the mortgage loan process. Responds to customer questions and concerns.
  • Discloses Loan Estimates and other necessary documents within the required timeframes.
  • Maintains current knowledge of agency and investor guidelines as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Develops relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources to maintain a quality network and establish a book of business for new mortgage lending opportunities.

Requirements:

Requires 2 years experience as a mortgage loan originator and thorough knowledge of investor and agency guidelines as well as state and federal regulations

Must be register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (“NMLS”) with an active unique identifier number

Skills and certifications:

An active NMLS license
