About the Position
The loan processor will gather information to ensure the timely and accurate packaging of loan files originated by the loan officer for an underwriting decision, manage each file from origination to closing

Essential Functions
- Perform processing functions within Encompass
- Review residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards
- Make necessary changes by establishment standards
- Submit mortgage loan application file to Underwriting for a credit decision
- Submit approved mortgage loan to Mortgage Loan Closer for settlement
- Recordkeeping data on the status of loans
Competencies
- Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance including availability to work overtime occasionally
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and analytical thinking skills, customer service driven, and open to learning new ideas & new approaches to everyday issues – all in the effort to meet the client’s expectations
- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, constantly changing work environment often on a tight schedule
Education and Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit policies and approval processes
- Processing Experience
- A minimum of three (3) plus years working with and/or comprehensive knowledge in conforming & non-conforming loans, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Guidelines, and any government and/or conventional, FHA or VA loans required
- Experience with Encompass Loan Origination Software a plus!
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
