Job Description: Mortgage Processor
· Collect, package, review, and reconcile loan application documents
· Review loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established standards
· Answer questions regarding loans and transactions
· Run and/or review credit reports and call/write to employer to verify accuracy of information
· Record data on status of loans, including the number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied
· Liaise with Underwriting and Closing to ensure end-to-end processing of the loan
· Order and perform the preliminary review of all third-party reports (appraisal, inspection and environmental)
· Maintain communication with external customers, internal departments, and third-party vendors to promote positive business relations and relate loan status
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
· Minimum 2-year degree
· Minimum 4 years of experience as a mortgage processor (commercial preferred)
· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including managing files and records
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work well in a high energy, deadline-driven environment
· Ability to be resourceful and find alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
· Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
