Position Title: Plant Operations Coordinator

Supervisor: Director of Plant Operations

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Plant Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance in the overall planning, development, organization and implementation of services and procedures in the plant operations department. This position also serves as the contact for new resident move ins and works with the Marketing Department.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Keeps all required records, reports and studies for plant operations department.
  • Responsible for inventory management for plant operations including but not limited to researching product availability/pricing, and ordering products and quantities as determined by the Plant Operations Director.
  • Processes work requests and generates work orders in conjunction with other plant operation staff.
  • Coordinates key control process.
  • Provides back up support for administrative tasks when required.
  • Maintains knowledge of and ability to use proficiently all necessary computer systems.
  • Utilizes time in efficient manner, completing duties in timely fashion.
  • Work with vendors on unit turnovers regarding pricing, timelines, etc.
  • Prepare invoices for approval.
  • Communication with residents for updates on delayed work orders.
  • Maintains skills and competencies utilized in work areas.
  • Assists residents in their requests for construction changes.
  • Processes all the required paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Communicates with residents regarding notices for projected completion dates.
  • Coordinate project timeline and deadlines based on proposed move-in dates.
  • Develops a move-in guide.
  • Coordinates and schedules any decorators or subcontractors’ access to apartment.
  • Helps facilitate residents in making the move to their new residence as smooth as possible.
  • Helps with site functions as directed by the Plant Operations Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Duties:

1. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

2. Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure HIPAA policies are followed and resident rights are protected. Respects and maintains resident confidentiality. Follows all aspects of Standards of Conduct and Corporate Compliance.

3. Reports all incidents/accidents immediately. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions equipment immediately. Assures that established safety regulations are followed at all times. Utilizes proper use of body mechanics and personal protective devices.

4. Meets or exceeds internal and external customer service expectations and promotes the continuous improvement philosophy of the department and community.

5. Consistently demonstrates adherence to Infection Control policies and procedures in all aspects of performance.

6. Uses equipment, services and supplies in a cost-effective manner.

7. Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.

8. Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to facilitate team functioning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.

2. Strong computer skills and aptitude.

3. Experience in sales or hospitality environment, where good communication and customer relations skills are essential.

4. Strong time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normally works in well-lighted, comfortable surroundings. Must be able to concentrate with frequent interruptions. Must be able to sit for up to 75% of the workday. Must be able to tour through the entire building, up to one mile, occasionally pushing a wheelchair. Must be able to bend and stoop. May be exposed to communicable diseases and must utilize universal precautions. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 /hour
