An established and growing real estate company is offering a career opportunity for an experienced Lead Maintenance to work in a 250 apartment community in the University Area in Northeast Tampa.

Our company’s properties are clean, safe, attractive, friendly communities where our residents love to live. We have recently taken over this property and are in a very active turnaround. There is a lot of work to be done!

We are looking for a very hard working, energetic person, who loves to keep a property in good condition and takes personal pride in making sure everything works and the property always looks good.

Our Lead Maintenance will report directly to the Property Manager and will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and condition of the entire property.

Our Lead Maintenance will also be responsible for organizing & directing other maintenance technicians and will be responsible for their performance.

This is a position of trust, responsibility, and accountability; and these attributes must be reflected in the work history of the candidate we select.

The property is located in the University Area in Northeast Tampa. We are looking for a person who lives within the area or who is willing to relocate nearby and can also be on call for property emergencies.

Skills needed:

  • Very hard working, responsible person who can take ownership and responsibility for keeping the property operating, clean, and in good condition.
  • Ability to organize and supervise other maintenance technicians
  • Very organized and able to complete several projects in an organized manner
  • Very detailed in keeping the property clean at all times
  • Follows property systems carefully and closely
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to residents, and communicate with Manager
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Clean, professional appearance

Experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Multi-Family Property Maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years as Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Maintenance
  • Plumbing & Electrical certifications a plus
  • Extensive experience with plumbing, electrical, & drywall
  • Experience and ability to complete unit turns
  • Experience with overseeing outside contractors for rehabs and property upgrade projects to make sure they do a good, high quality job
  • Ability to save the property money by finding low-cost suppliers
  • Spanish/English bilingual helpful, though not required

Compensation:

Starting salary $31,280 to $40,000 to, depending on experience. Health Benefits provided.
