Job Description
PwC’s US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm’s financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.
The Real Estate Department provides a comprehensive suite of services to its internal customers including: real estate financial analysis and reporting; budgeting and forecasting; site selection and delivery of space all while controlling costs. This organization’s operations are housed in Tampa focused on helping Line of Service Leaders, Market Leaders, Sector Leaders and their partners and managers deliver the Unique Client Experience. National Real Estate Business Intelligence (NREBI) team turns Big Data into smart data. The team sources, curates, analyzes and presents data to answer key business questions that drive the complete real estate lifecycle of the firm’s portfolio of 93 offices and over 5.5M Rentable Square Feet serving nearly 50K employees.
Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 6
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED
Degree Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in business intelligence and analytics pertaining to real estate in the following areas:
- Managing large, complex, real time databases such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Cloud, and Data Lake;
- Automating integration of disparate data sources;
- Extracting data via Application Program Interfaces;
- Cleansing and curating data using Alteryx, scripts or similar tools;
- Visualizing data using Tableau, Power BI, etc.;
- Managing Tableau Server, Power BI;
- Statistically analyzing large data sets;
- Integrating Internet of Things (IoT) devices and data;
- Managing of junior analysts activities and work product; and,
- Managing of complex data integration projects.
Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in real estate-focused analytics and business intelligence in the following areas:
- Managing large and/or complex data sets using statistical tools and database technologies;
- Designing and developing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) code to load and transform internal and external source data in various formats into query-able structures and/or databases;
- Conducting ETL, SQL and database performance tuning, troubleshooting, support, and capacity estimation to provide highest data quality standards;
- Profiling and analyzing source data to optimize reporting structures;
- Leading Tableau administration, including user provisioning, server management, license administration, and version upgrades;
- Setting and establishing standards and following all industry-leading practices for consistent and accurate data quality and tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.);
- Analyzing big data and generating useful conclusions and actionable recommendations;
- Developing customized analytical outputs such as dashboards, presentations, reports, etc. to meet requests of external and internal customers;
- Communicating both written and orally across all levels of management within an organization, especially translating complex technical concepts into relatable concepts for business leaders of various technology acumen; and,
- Performing as a self-motivated individual who enjoys undertaking challenges and assimilating information quickly and outlining action plans and recommendations.
